How to Enter

Sharp Shotz Unsigned Closes: May 28th 2010

• Sharp Shotz Unsigned is open to young musicians  living in the UK.
• ALL music genres wanted - from Grime to Classical and everything in between.
• You must be able to perform the song live - the 10 finalists will play live to a select panel and audience.
• Your song should be 3 minutes or less in length and should have an instrumental section which is around 20-30 seconds long.
• The songs should be suitable for broadcast to any age group.

 The Prize:

YOU COULD BE ONE OF THE TWO ACTS:

• To Record your song at the world class Real World Studios
• To have your song used as a title track for a winning animation.
• To enjoy wide distribution of your song, including have your track played on Amazing Radio which has over 600,000 listeners
• To play live at a range of events including the Sharp Shotz Premiere and The Bristol Festival

Guideline for your writing your track:

 There are two categories you can choose from which are 1. Guns/knives and 2. Drugs and Alcohol. It is important that your song raises awareness of the consequnces, promotes positive choices and offers solutions.  Your track will be judged on the following:

• THE QUALITY OF THE MESSAGE - we are looking for songs that make you think, are convincing, that promote positive choices and have some depth of understanding of the given category.
• THE QUALITY OF THE TRACK - we are looking for music that will make people sit up and listen, are original, offer something new. 

To Enter:

1. Choose a category, either 1. Guns/Knives  or  2.Drugs (this includes alcohol)
2. Download and save the relevant Entry Form here -  1.Gun/Knives 2.Drugs and Alcohol
3. Listen to both the winning and runners up tracks from Unsigned 09
4. Watch last year's winning animations
5. Read through the Entry Form and Judging criteria carefully.
6. Write and record your song - (please do not worry about the quality of the recording, you will not be judged on this.)
7. Fill out the Entry Form
8. Send us your completed entry form and song:

By Post - Send the song in CD format with the completed entry form to: Sharp Shotz Unsigned, 43, Ducie Road, Barton Hill, Bristol, BS5 0AX

By Email: Send us the completed entry form to - info@sharp-shotz.com. You can email your song to us along with your entry form but we suggest using a file sharing website such as: www.sendspace.com or www.zshare.com. If you do decide to use one of these websites please make sure you you put in the name of your song as well as the band or acts name in the description box.
