Sharp Shotz Animation Competition Pack:
This year we have put together a downloadable Competition Pack which contains information on: Key dates; How to Enter; Categories; Resources; Project Guide; Rules, Judgement Criteria and Sharp Shotz Unsigned. You will still need to download the Enrolment, Entry and Submit Forms seperately.
Free Workshops available to entrants:
To help teams with their research into their chosen category, story development and story boarding we have twisted the arm of some Bristol's leading organisations to offer a range free workshops to the schools and youth groups entering the competition. We highly recommend you book one or all of the workshops but there are limited spaces so book early. Find out more...
Encounters Young Persons Film Festival - November 20th :
Sharp Shotz has partnered up with At Bristol and the Encounters Young Person Film Festival to offer an amazing day of workshops on story and character development (each group will get an expert on their chosen category e.g a drugs worker), animation using the new Animate It Exhibition, and Sound and music in film. The workshops will be delivered by Aardman and UWE experts. You will be able to book places through the Encounters website from the next few days: http://www.encounters-festival.org.uk/. Sharp Shotz Debate - Solutions for Education- November 18th from 1pm at Council Chambers College Green
There will be two debates on drugs/alcohol and gun/knives/conflict at the Council Chambers Council Green. The purpose of the debates is to discuss the issues and develop ideas of how to improve education around them, with attendees voting on one solution for each issue which be being taken forward to the council. The event will be webcast via council website. We are looking to get up to 60 under 18 s to be involved. This is an excellent oportunity for young people to effect how they are educated around these difficult issues. For more information and to book places please contact us
